The Mobile Health Clinic that will be provided to
the City of Yamada, Iwate Prefecture

RF Provides Doctor Coar to the City of Yamada, Iwate

RF (Nagano-shi, President Jiro Maruyama, 026-225-7700) will be providing a mobile health clinic to Kondo Iin (Kondo Hospital) located in the City of Yamada, Iwate Prefecture which was stricken by the East Japan Earthquake. A van-type vehicle is fully equipped with digital x-rays, an electrocardiograph, computers, a medical bed and battery power for use in areas where electricity has not recovered.

The Doctor Car (mobile health clinic) is equipped with an x-ray room and the digital x-ray sensor “NAOMI” manufactured by RF Co.,Ltd. The patients’ diagnostic data can be sent by wireless LAN to medical specialists for further examinations. The approximate 8 million JPY needed for the vehicle was funded partly by revenue from “NAOMI” as well as donations from companies that bought the installed equipment and materials.

Doctor Car will be used indefinitely until the relief measures are taken by the municipalities. There are also considerations for commercialization of the vehicle as examination cars once there are abundant clinical records.
